Happy Thanksgiving

My favorite thing about Thanksgiving isn't the food(although I really love it), what I love is that we are able to reflect on all that we have in our lives to be thankful for. A girlfriend of mine has been posting one thing she is thankful for each day through the month of November; I thought that was a great idea and wanted to join in. So here are the 25 things the Alves family are thankful for this year:

1. LJ, Mommy, and Daddy
   
2. Family
   
3. Friends
4. Our Army family
   
5. We are together for the holidays this year
   
6. Health
   
7. Home
8. Jobs
9. A new baby on the way
10. LJ's personality (although he can be extremely stubborn)
11. technology (internet allows us to be closer to some of our friends and family)
12. all the things LJ does on a daily basis that we go to bed talking about
13. all that our parents have taught us
14. the relationship L and I have
15. patience
16. LJ's school and teachers
17. my students this year
18. new additions to our families
19. take out
20. Girls shopping trips/Daddy Day Care
21. that L is here this year to do all the Christmas decorating outside
22. that L is here this year to do all the yardwork
23. that L is here to take out the trash
24. that L is here this year to complete my "honey do" list
25. THAT L IS HERE THIS YEAR

I will have to say what we are most thankful for this year is that L is home. We missed him so much last year, and sadly he will be gone again next year...so we are going to make the most of this time and enjoy every moment of it.
